Welcome 30 St.Mary Axe, or The Gherkin as it has become known, is an unmistakable landmark proudly claiming it's place on the London skyline. Built on the site of the old Baltic Exchange The Gherkin has modern architecture which is both aesthetically pleasing and forward thinking. In terms of internal space and working environment, this building is truly unique. Business Facilities EventsThe restaurant and lounge bar are available to tenants of the building and Exclusive Dining Members only. However, they can be hired for coporate dinners or receptions from 18.30hrs onwards Monday to Thursday The venue can also be booked on weekends for corporate or private events, including weddings. The restaurant can seat from 50 to 70 guests for dinner, and the restaurant and lounge bar combined can accommodate from 120 to 260 guests for a cocktail reception. Private Dining In addition, there are five private dining rooms, each with a stunning view across the city, which can accommodate between 2 and 15 guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Monday to Friday. These are available for all day hire for boardrioom style meetings. Weddings Plan your day to remember at a truly unforgettable venue. 30 St Mary Axe provides a unique and elegant venue to celebrate your wedding or civil partnership. The fine dining restaurant can accommodate up to 70 guests for your wedding breakfast, with the mezzanine level bar hosting up to 160 guests for an evening reception and dancing. Food & Beverage Facilities Bar & Restaurant on the top floors, giving uninterupted panoramic views across London. As stated, they are available to tenants of the building and Exclusive Dining Members only. They can be hired for corporate dinners or receptions from 6.30pm onwards Monday to Thursday.:: Trivia Spot :: At the Movies: The Gherkin has featured in both Basic Instinct 2 and Woody Allen's Match point. The building contains the highest dining space in London at 163 metres. The only curved piece of glass on the entire building is the very top piece that crowns it. |
